A 1-Day Acting Workshop with the UK’s leading Meisner teacher.
If you’re looking for a joyful and reliable acting technique that allows you to become present and responsive to your partner, then this workshop is for you.
You will explore the foundational exercises of the Meisner Technique, get a taste of what the Technique is about and why it works.
The workshop will be taught by internationally renowned teacher, director, and Artistic Director Scott Williams, who studied with Sanford Meisner at The Neighbourhood Playhouse and has over 40 years of experience teaching this work globally. He returns to Australia with his inspiring series of workshops designed to empower and deepen the work of today’s actor.
“Scott Williams’ approach to acting totally changed my concept of what it is to act. I was, for the first time, able to let go of a number of ‘techniques’ I believed I needed and was able to simply deal with the given moment and respond to it truthfully.”
– Sam Smith, Actor (Jirga, The Invisible Man, The Nightingale)
“Scott’s uncanny ability to help you make subtle adjustments in your work is extraordinary. He helped me elevate my work and reconnect with my love of acting. I’d work with him again in a heartbeat.”
– Alyson Standen (Total Control, Home & Away, Farscape)
