Marketing Specialist, Heidi Taylor, will take you through all of the elements of a promotional campaign covering what PR assets you need to share, where you need to send and share them, and the intricacies of getting the word out there about your event.

This workshop is a chance to build your knowledge base to enable you to effectively promote your shows, events and self for the future.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

Heidi Taylor is a Marketing Specialist, Musician and Visual Artist who brings a unique perspective – as both the creative and the promoter.

Heidi’s marketing background spans more than 20 years and includes promotion and storytelling for music shows, album releases, exhibitions, the Hide + Seek Festival and a diverse range of businesses – from luxury dog collars made in Colombia and sustainable artistic floristry to paranormal events.

She currently works in Marketing and Music Programming at the Ballarat Performing Arts Centre, promoting shows and working to bring more diverse music to local audiences. As a Musician and Event Producer, Heidi has produced many line-ups and played on stages across Australia and internationally, released albums under her moniker Heidi Elva, and performed alongside many much-loved Australian and international artists.

As a Visual Artist, Heidi has exhibited in Sydney, Melbourne and her current beloved home of Bacchus Marsh. Through her main art project, Icons + Bones, she explores themes of fantasy, ritual, the ancient and futurism.

Heidi is passionate about using her knowledge, experience and creative perspective to support and empower the creative community in Regional Victoria. Dreams We Hold is Heidi’s small business, through which she provides strategic advice, marketing and business development support to creative and values-driven businesses.
